Professor Brian Dean
The cause of schizophrenia remains unknown. Recent developments argue that some of the symptoms of schizophrenia arise because the human brain has become so complex it has problems supplying its own need for energy. Importantly, drugs that may reverse this problem may be on the horizon. This talk will outline why schizophrenia may result from a brain energy deficit and how drugs may be able to reverse such a deficiency.
